I need to "Get out there and box!"
It has been a couple of weeks since I was able to go boxing. I am so ready to get back out there and stamp in a few more boxes before the weather gets to bad. I am looking forward to a trip to Greenville, Tx. very soon to find those that are planted there. I am only 8 away from the F100 count and am very anxious to get mark that milestone. I also have 3 stamps that are ready to be placed, but am waiting for the right location. Maybe after Thanksgiving I will be able to print out clues, load up the van with Stinky Monkey, Roarin' Lion and Lucy Locket and set out on an adventure. So many boxes.....so little time.

Mission : Impossible

I tried once again last Saturday to get the elusive Vivaldi's Winter. The damage at the Forest is quiet extensive. Hurricane Rita proved to be a power to be reckoned with. I did get past the gate, but due to so many trees and brush, it was not going to happen. Leaving Stinky monkey, Roarin' lion and Lucy Locket in the van, I thought maybe I could sneak past all of the debris (and anyone else that might be lurking about) and make it to the trail. After all, if Boxer in Training could do it, so could I. (he is a 77 yr. Old boxer from Chicago). The closer I got to the trail, the more I realized it wasn't happening that day. I could hear chainsaws buzzing back in the woods and decided (once again) that I would have to wait to complete the series.
We were however able to get LL's East Texas Blood Bank stamp. It was a nice day for a hike on LaNana Creek Trail. Even though there is still evidence of Rita there too. S.M. and R.L. were able to get several stamps that were not in their books also. It was a great day and we WILL return for the Winter stamp once again.

Terror on Telge

After a late night of Friday night football, Lucy Locket and I set off Saturday morning to Cypress,Tx. to attend our first gathering. It was worth the trip!!! We arrived early enough to find several boxes. Mr. Bones, planted by Mother of Five was one of my favorites. It was four different boxes and it was fun to see him become a full skeleton. I thought the head being in the last box was pretty funny!
The fellow boxers were the highlight of the day. TeamKing brought some awesome traveling event stamps that will be treasured always! Others there were The Frye Team,SilverEagle, Baby Bear, Birds of a Feather, Runs for Chocolate, Asterix and Mother of Five. We had a awesome time and can't wait for the Texas Gathering to meet others that we only know by their trail name.
