Starting The Journey

I have wanted to go to the Texas Hill Country for quite a while, even before I started this fantastic hobby of letterboxing! We weren't ever able to get it all worked out so we could go. This time, nothing was stopping us!!! We made the plans and got the reservations we needed and waited for the day to arrive so we could start our adventure!

Our itenerary was as follows:
Wednesday, Dec. 6th..got everything packed in the van and head to Dallas so we could go by the Arboretum and replace my box there. I was succesful in re-planting the box, but it is in the same place as it is very difficult to find a better place. I am thinking if the box goes missing again, I will most likely retire it. They were planting the Tulip and Daffodil bulbs while we were there and it makes me anxious to see them in bloom!! We hit the electronics store and our favorite book store Half-Priced Books. We (especially my LSS) could spend all day in there. They have a little coffee shop and tables that make a great place to sit have a cup of joe and read a book. (which I usually do while waiting on LSS) Does that make ME a LSS? :)

At the end of the day, with treasures in hand, we trekked down to Corsicana to celebrate Lucy Locket's Birthday. We treated her to dinner and spent the night at her house.

You will notice, I did not do ANY other boxing that day. Lucy had to work the next day, so we went to bed to get a good nights rest for the next leg of the journey.
